DRESS/ GROOMING
CODE AT PART-TIME JOBS
Students are always looking for part-time jobs- especially during vacation time. Here are a few tips on what employers, generally expect students to have:
-
Clean clothes, and shoes (closed
toe)
-
Clean, well groomed and neat hair
style
-
Appropriate dress: i.e., no
sporting or leisure time clothes including jump suits,
shorts, tank tops, halter tops, low cut dresses/blouses,
sweat outfits, jogging pants, logo tee shirts, etc
The following are typical guidelines for eight sample occupational areas. The school and employer should make clear any specific dress expectations or requirements. If students do not have appropriate adult work clothing, schools and employers should discuss alternative clothing or other solutions to enable student participation.
