| Personal appearance is very
                                important in the teenage years, and few young
                                people are totally satisfied with how they look;
                                indeed, those who are most good-looking are
                                often most obsessed with imagined imperfections.
 The teens are, however, a period of rapid
                                growth. The proportions of the face change (so
                                do those of the nose, for example, which often
                                becomes relatively smaller) and so do the size
                                and shape of the legs, the shoulders, and the
                                breasts. There is little you can do to affect
                                these changes, but you can take care of your
                                skin and hair, and you can choose a healthy
                                diet.
