                            MY SCHOOL In Gurgaon

An Initiative of Soni Memorial Trust (12 A regd, 80G approval u/ IT Act)
Timing/Address   Location   MY SCHOOL Desk Calendar 2024

A pre-school, In Gurgaon, set up in Oct 2020 (by CA Rajiv Soni with 30 yrs experience in teaching, training) for poorest-of-the-poor children- getting them off the streets, teaching and, grooming them for admission into regular school, bringing lasting  changes in their lives; and, in the society.
From using a white board on a stone wall in an open field to Internet based training under a tree, we now teach computers and Internet  to these marginalised kids.
In three years, we have grown to 116+ enrolments (of which 56 children admitted to regular schools – in grades 3 to 6).
All services are Free of cost, and we have no external funding

The model is scalable and we seek corporate backing to:

* Play a role in expanding Digital India by enhancing digital literacy of millions of poor and deprived-of-opportunity kids; fostering a more inclusive and empowered society.

* Introduce social skills: Civility and civic sense, Good manners and behavior, Tolerance, Kindness, Discipline, Adaptability & Resilience, Patriotism, Truthfulness, Being respectful to elders and ladies.

* Fund the Phase II of designing Learning curriculum & thousands of Assessment questions. No two tests will ever be the same...and cheating will not be possible.

Now he is busy imparting free primary and secondary education to underprivileged children. In the outdoors." Aditya Raj Kapoor

2nd initiative starts Feb 2022
Encouraged by the success of getting the first three kids into a regular school 9 months later, we started our next initiative at Kanhaiye Gaon, Sector 45, Gurgaon. We are of the firm belief that education helps break the cycle of poverty.
These are real children with real dreams...and deserve an education that sees them treated with dignity and worth; one that will help them to fulfil their God-given potential, no matter their circumstances.
We also recognise that the level of vulnerability has risen significantly for children living in poverty since the onslaught of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

1st initiative Dec 2020 Gurgaon
"Just a very humble effort to add some literacy value to the extremely poor children of some farmers family...trying to get them to learn the alphabet and numbers. This itself may take me months."
"The human mind is the fundamental resource. When learning and teaching happen continuously without any barriers, everything improves. This is a small effort towards a farmer's family who I met quite by accident in Gurgaon few months ago, and who longed to learn. Learn anything- English, Math, Science... and so I started." Rajiv Soni
