IT courses planned in the villages as part of Community Development Programme
The present time being the era of Information Technology
both the unemployed and studying youth in the villages
need to be trained in the upcoming areas of
computers.
Our Member of Parliament, Capt. Satish Sharma, has a
vision: to make the people in this constituency both
literate and computer literate.
To provide basic facilities of computer training it has
been decided to set up 5 centres in each legislative
constituency. The centres will be set up at following
locations-
Each of the above
5 centres will have following computer training
equipment-
1. Computer with Multi-media 02 Nos
2. Printer-Ink Jet 01 No
3. Modem-56.6 KBPS 01 No
4. UPS 02 Nos.
5. 5-KVA Gen. Set 01 No.
Each centre will
run under guidance from the Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic,
and an independent computer trainer will be placed at
each centre.
A nominal registration fee is
planned to be charged from the trainees primarily to
meet running costs: Salary of the trainer, fuel
expenses, stationary expenses, travelling expenses etc.
Basic facilities such as room, almirah, furniture etc. will be provided by the Inter College/village selected for the centre. A target of training 500 rural youths per year has been fixed.
The following courses will be run at the rural training centres:
1. Introduction to Computers & Computer Fundamentals
2. Use of Computers in different industries
3. Computer applications including Windows95/98, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point
4. Programming Languages
5. Internet Fundamentals
