Two recent unique stories (copyright, SWA regd) that could make for compelling and emotionally resonant feature films, especially in today’s world where stories
on healthcare and aging resonate deeply across continents and cultures.

Living Will
|
A poignant and thought-provoking story of retired Colonel VishwaPratap Singh Rathod- a valiant, brave, determined officer, who wishes for a dignified end on his own terms; his son, Karan Singh, who clings on to hope and wants to keep his father alive as long as possible; and the doctors, torn between their duty to preserve life and the ethical boundaries of their profession.
Over 38 intense days, the narrative explores the complex intersections of patient autonomy, familial love, religious beliefs, and medical ethics, highlighting the inner struggles of each character as they navigate the delicate balance between life, dignity, and the Hippocratic Oath.
This version on EOLC (End of Life Care) emphasizes the emotional stakes, ethical tension, and the intricate relationships among the characters, giving it a layered, impactful tone.

Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhana
|
A celebrated theatre artist having Alzheimer's embarks on a nostalgic road trip with her estranged lover, daughter and friends, navigating the emotional and physical challenges of the disease.
This narrative dives into the emotional terrain of what it means to love and support someone through a long, gradual goodbye. It highlights both the toll and the beautiful moments that emerge as family members remember, forgive, adapt and ultimately cherish the time they have together.
Both stories have strong potential for an intimate, character-driven film that could bring awareness and empathy around these universal themes of life, aging, and family. They would resonate with audiences in India, and globally, as such subjects remain universally relevant and deeply moving.

India Mein Ek Prem Kahani

|
A lighthearted romantic comedy about two young Indian-Americans who reluctantly come to India to attend college
at Delhi University, finding themselves completely out of their element. Struggling to balance their Western upbringing with the vibrant,
sometimes bewildering, reality of Indian college life, they encounter challenges, culture shocks, and unexpected friendships.
As they navigate the ups and downs of this new world, they not only fall in love with each other but also with the richness,
chaos, and charm of India—discovering parts of themselves they never knew existed.
It is a 'reverse engineering' of the mindset of students craving to go to the US and settle there. The story has a message that resonates with:
(i) Hon Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who said in his speech in Indore (Jan 2023) wherein he implored ‘Indian origin’ young generation born and brought up overseas to visit India and see, with pride, what India is today.
(ii) Indian Ambassador to USA when he showcased Incredible India, revitalized, as a study destination of international standard.
The story emphasizes the cultural journey, character growth, and romantic elements, giving it a broader appeal to international audiences as a coming-of-age story.

Elements: Passion for challenges, Romance, Humor, Attitude and wit.
|
True story of how the protagonist builds a
corridor between the Occident and Orient with great attitude and
determination, fighting against all odds of the day-to-day work and social
culture at a molecular level; and of the links forged between two people
from two different cultures who, by mutually sharing their hearts, become
true soul mates in life.
The story includes true, real life instances of Hindu-Muslim relationships,
Indo–American relationships, honesty of black Americans, mysterious mischief
of Lord Krsna himself, and other examples of America’s amity, it’s tolerance
of multiplicity of cultures and ethnicities and inherent system of rewarding
the honest and hardworking...
It is one man’s crusade for himself- not selfishly, but to prove that
nothing is impossible even as the American job market ignores him,
daily-life culture scoffs at him, and the American woman...she rebuffs him.

* Hotels And hoteliering make good ground for storytelling. Having worked in ITC hotels for almost a decade, I have countless stories and first hand witnesses, besides my own, relating to work ethics, culture of hospitality, personal and professional relationships, idiosyncrasies of guests, home away from home, even lucky charms, and unexplained events in some rooms, spots of some hotels.
I have documented experiences covering interaction/ relationships with Board members, owners of hotels, seniors and junior colleagues- that are interesting, gripping, fascinating, inspirational, thought-provoking, action-packed, peppered with humor and a moral, a message.
* Hospitals
38 days in the ICU of a hospital in Gurgaon opened my eyes to the fragility of existence, humility, futility, the power of prayer, and much more that involves journey through the labyrinth of issues in patient's (father) choice, family (son), religion and ethics and the doctors Hippocratic oath. Am hoping that my story will guide/ provide some answer, even inspire people that need to have some illumination on the path to take a decision.
EOLC (End-of-life Care) is fast gaining importance around the world as advances in medicine, in its single minded pursuit of maximizing longevity, mostly ends up creating more suffering. In India, a core committee has very recently been formed at AIIMS New Delhi to facilitate a dignified dying process for patients who are at the end of their life.
I can write 20+ episode stories in each of the above two subjects.
