KEEPING SLIM

The key to keeping slim is finding a pattern of eating that you enjoy but that keeps your weight within the normal range. That means permanent changes in what and when you eat.

  • Eat regular meals at the same time of day and try not to eat between meals.

  • Avoid foods that contain a lot of fat or sugar or both. This means most snack foods, chocolate bars, potato chips, cookies, cakes, and pastries.

  • Go for snacks that are filling but low in calories: apples and other fruit, carrots, celery, a salad.

  • Avoid sugary, carbonated drinks, drink tea, skim milk, and mineral water.
