She got her professional experience in the fields of Advertising, PR and Market Research with organizations like Lintas, Housing and Urban Development Corporation [HUDCO] and ORG. Post this stint she moved into consultancy and teaching in 1992.
She uses her professional experience to give inputs to the younger generation. She is a visiting faculty at various management and mass communication institutes. She has travelled widely specially in the remote areas of India and has seen many facets of the Indian consumer. So she enjoys sharing her experiences with the students and interacts with them especially in the areas of advertising management, consumer behavior and communication. She uses a mix of theory, real life situations and industry experience to prepare the students for the professional world.
She combines her industry experience along with her teaching to prepare course curriculum and design syllabi for many institutes and courses. She is the official examiner at various places and also part of the policy team in the academic field. She conducts workshops and training sessions related to her expertise. She backs this up with nearly 30 years of experience and a Masters in Management [MBA] and one in Mass Communication [MMC].
She is associated with most of the leading institutes of management and mass communication as visiting faculty and academic advisor. She is on the Academic Council of IIMM and is associated with other institutions like IIMC, CIC Delhi University, MCRC Jamia, IIPM, SACAC, IIMM, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, IP University . She was associated with ASCO and Apeejay for many years.
She has attended various mid-career development programmes in India and abroad. Chief Executive Forums of Planman Consulting, Management Development Programme at Darden, University of Virginia being some of them.
